장소성 기록화를 위한 전략 수립 : 대구 근대골목을 중심으로

- 본 연구는 대구 근대골목의 장소성을 반영한 체계적인 기록화를 위하여 실행되었다. 장소성 기록화의 필요성과 대구 근대골목의 역사적·문화적 가치를 중심으로 구체적인 기록화 전략을 제안하고 있다. 장소성 기록화는 특정 장소에서 인간 활동과 경험, 사회적 기억이 축적된 결과로 형성된 장소성을 기록하고 보존하는 행위이다. 이는 역사적·문화적 가치를 후대에 전달하고 지역 정체성을 강화하는 데 중요한 역할을 한다. 기록화는 다양한 주체와 장소에서 발생한 활동과 경험을 체계적으로 기록하려는 방향으로 확장되고 있다. 특히 대구 근대골목은 일제강점기와 한국 근대화 과정의 주요 흔적을 간직한 장소로 이를 기록화하는 것은 지역사 연구와 도시 재생에 있어 중요한 의미를 가진다. 그러나 현재 대구 근대골목의 기록은 공공기관, 민간단체, 개인 등으로 분산되어 있으며 이를 체계적으로 관리하거나 활용할 전략이 부족하다. 본 연구는 이러한 한계를 해결하기 위해 도큐멘테이션 전략을 기반으로 새로운 기록화 전략을 설계하고 실행하는데 목적을 두고 있다. 연구는 실행연구의 방법론을 활용하여 문제 정의, 실행 계획 수립, 실행 및 평가, 개선 및 순환의 과정을 거쳤다. 이 과정에서 연구자와 전문가의 협력을 통해 대구 근대골목의 장소성 기록화 가능성을 분석하고 전략을 설계하였다. 주요 방법으로는 문헌연구, 사례 조사 및 심층 면담을 활용하였다. 문헌연구와 사례 조사를 통해 도큐멘테이션 전략, 로컬리티 기록화 전략 등 장소성 기록화의 이론적 기반을 구축하고 부산 산복도로 아카이브, 피맛골 기록화 등의 유사 사례를 참고하여 기록화 전략을 설계하였다. 설계된 전략은 대구 근대골목의 역사적 건축물, 독립운동의 흔적, 시민의 생활사 등을 포함하는 다양한 기록 수집과 정리 과정을 포함하였다. 이후 전문가 평가를 통해 기록화 전략의 유효성과 한계를 분석하고 개선안을 도출하였다. 본 연구는 실행연구와 도큐멘테이션 전략을 결합하여 기록화 과정을 설계하고 실행함으로써 대구 근대골목의 장소성을 체계적으로 기록화하였다. 이는 유사한 지역 기록화에 적용 가능한 전략으로 활용될 수 있으며, 기록 관리 및 도시 재생 분야에 기여할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

- This study was conducted to systematically document Daegu's modern alleyways reflecting their placeness. It proposes a specific documentation strategy based on t he need for documenting place and the historical and cultural values of Daegu's modern alleyways. Placeness documentation is the act of recording and preserving placeness formed as a result of the accumulation of human activities, experiences, and social memories in a specific place. It plays an important role in transmitting historical and cultural values to future generations and strengthening local identity.
Documentation is expanding in the direction of systematically recording the activities and experiences of various actors and places. In particular, Daegu Modern Alley is a place that holds key traces of the Japanese occupation and Korea's modernization process, and documenting it has important implications for local history research and urban regeneration. However, the records of Daegu's modern alleyways ar e currently scattered among public institutions, private organizations, and individual s, and there is a lack of a strategy to systematically manage or utilize them. To ad dress these limitations, this study aims to design and implement a new documentation strategy based on the documentation strategy.
Utilizing the methodology of action research, the study went through the process of problem definition, action plan formulation, implementation and evaluation, improvement and circulation. In this process, researchers and experts collaborated to analyze the possibility of documenting the placeness of Daegu's modern alleyways and design a strategy. The main methods utilized were literature research, case studies, and in-depth interviews. Through literature research and case studies, we esta blished the theoretical basis for placeness documentation, including documentation strategies and locality documentation, strategies, and designed documentation strate gies by referring to similar cases such as the Busan Sanbokdoro Archive and Pimatgol Documentation. The designed strategy involved the collection and organization of various records, including historical buildings in Daegu's modern alleyways, trace s of the independence movement, and the life history of citizens. Afterwards, the effectiveness and limitations of the documentation strategy were analyzed through expert evaluation, and improvement plans were derived
By combining action research and documentation strategies to design and implement the documentation process, this study systematically documented the placeness of Daegu's modern alleyways. It can be utilized as a strategy applicable to the documentation of similar areas and is expected to contribute to the fields of record management and urban regeneration.
